Project overview

The work, the thinking and the value behind it.

Wholelook brings outfit styling into the product page. Instead of suggesting more versions of the same item, it presents three complete looks built around that piece, using products from the retailer's own catalog.

The experience connects a shopper-facing outfit module with a clear proposition for retail teams: brand-aware styling, stock-aware recommendations and a merchandising team that keeps the final say. The public site introduces the product through a working visual demonstration and an invitation to join the pilot.

Beyond similar products

A row of similar boots helps a shopper compare alternatives, but it does not show what to wear with the pair they already like. Wholelook reframes that moment around a complete outfit, connecting footwear, clothing and accessories in one decision.

The site makes the distinction tangible with the same navy ankle boot styled for an office day, an evening and a weekend. Each direction has its own name, a worn-look image and a breakdown of the individual pieces.

The product is the explanation

A familiar retail product page becomes the main demonstration. Beneath the buy box, the Wholelook module pairs product imagery with a styled silhouette, individual prices and a combined look total.

Visitors can switch between outfit directions to understand the concept immediately. Restrained typography, cool neutrals and generous spacing let the clothing carry the visual story, while the surrounding narrative explains how the experience fits into an existing store.

Retail judgment stays in the loop

The product proposition gives merchandisers control over brand combinations, price ranges and stock availability. Proposed looks can be approved, pinned or hidden, with replacements intended to keep an outfit relevant when a piece sells out.

The launch journey leads to a defined 100-product pilot over six to eight weeks, giving retailers a bounded way to evaluate catalog fit, review the proposed looks and assess commercial value before a wider rollout.
